The event will be held in Vilamoura , Portugal, from 14th to 20th June on the Oceanico courses.
The hotel we’ll be staying at is the 5 star Crowne Plaza in Vilamoura.

I think we’ve done well with the pricing, for the 6 nights, 5 rounds of golf, we managed to keep it below last years prices. For the 5 nights and 4 rounds of golf we have managed to keep the prices just below the first time we came to Vilamoura. Under the current rates of inflation etc etc. I am rather pleased with this.

6 nights’ accommodation in Crowne Plaza (near the marina)*****,
Vilamoura Buffet breakfast each day
5 rounds of golf (1 x Victoria, 1 x Millennium, 2 x Laguna, 1 x Pinhal) Buggies included each day with a halfway snack.

Price per golfer in a twin room superior (2 sharing) 1050-00 Euros
Price per golfer in a single room superior 1450-00 Euros

These prices will also include the following.
**Welcome drinks etc on the Monday evening, after the practice round.

  • Daily prizes for the four days of comp. with over-all winners prizes.
*6 x evening dinners with wine on the tables.
    (Including prize giving dinner)
*All transport/transfers to and from airport and golf courses.

Anybody wishing to arrive on the 15th and will not make it for the practice round on the Monday, can have the choice of a 5 x night and 4 rounds of golf option.

Price per golfer in a twin room superior (2 sharing) 930-00 Euros

On the morning of Monday 15th there will be a golf clinic for who ever would like to participate, with two of Portugal’s top tour pros. Compliments of ChilliBoy.com. Numbers will have to be confirmed, this is essential please.

To ensure these prices we have have had to commit to 60 day full pre-payment. So we’ll be looking to players fees being paid before the end of March.
At the moment the hotel has stated they will charge us a supplement of €100-00/person for the twins and €150-00 for the singles, for any late payments.

So folks once you have confirmed please ensure your fees are paid by the end of March.

Anybody wishing to stay a few days extra before or after the comp the following supplements will apply.

Singles €125/person per night.
Twins €85/person per night.

As for the format for the 4 days I don’t see much changing. We’ll be sticking to the principle of everybody should have fun but still stay competitive.
As for the dress code, last year seemed to work well, with Friday being the fun day. Trying to top last year’s “Undertakers” will be impossible.

Clubs to Hire.

As a reminder and for those of you who may not know, you can hire clubs for pick up at Faro Airport on your arrival.
Biggest saving is the surcharge by most airlines these days on sporting gear, especially Golf Clubs not to mention the hassle of carting them around everywhere with you.
It’s an idea set up by Paul McGinley offering all the very latest gear, from as little as Eu35-00 for the week, depending on your choice of clubs.
If you’re interested, take a look at this link: http://www.clubstohire.com/
I think it’s an excellent idea and to be honest, for most of us average golfers, using strange clubs doesn’t make the slightest bit of difference. Well it doesn’t for me, yeh I know I’m crap and my partner will agree with you.
Anyway it’s there if you want to take advantage of it.

Here’s a reminder of what fun we had on tour in Portugal with Viv Thomas and the 2014 VT Masters!

It’s great to see the guys getting all their kit ready for this years Viv Thomas Masters in June 2014. If you haven’t booked yet, get your entry in. We have one or two more spaces left.

Golf

We’re looking forward to another crazy week of golf in the hot sun, no doubt washed down with the odd jar of beer (or two). Vilamoura is waiting, guys!

P.S. If you’re wondering where these guys bought their kit, I’m pretty sure most of it is from LoudMouth.
